It is intended to provide access to refugee artists and their communities to the resources they need. SRAN will provide prospects and ways to engage the refugee artists to participate fully in Southwark's cultural life.

Tea HodzicTéa Hodzic /singer, guitarist, songwriter/ was born in Sarajevo-Bosnia, where she trained in classical guitar and opera. In the early 1980s, as a result of her contribution to musical culture, she was invited to sing for President Tito.

SRAN promotes positive art events by creating art/cultural projects and by participating in festivals and art events which contributes to the understanding of refugees and the enhancement of new art forms in the UK.

stimulates an understanding of non-western cultural forms, both contemporary and historic as an art expression to the UK audience, in order to raise the profile of refugee arts and culture within the refugees and the wider community.
